Laboratories in all Departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran have three functions:
- Facilities of supporting learning (practicum) for the S-1 program,
- Facilities to carry out student final assignments and lecturer research,
- As a service facility for testing samples / products from public demand.
Laboratory Utilization in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology (FTF):
Solid Formulation and Preparation Technology Laboratory
periodically already serving SOLUTION TEST testing of pharmaceutical products from partners (TELKOM, 2015). The Combined Laboratories in the FTF Department have also developed cooperation for the following reasons: 1. Medicine & cosmetics production training 2. Cooperation in the production of veterinary drugs and supplements 3. Cooperation in the production of cosmetic preparations 4. Cooperation ba be, TDM 5. Cosmetic clinical trial service, cosmetic safety, cosmetic quality 6. Standardized extract formulation development services ย
Laboratory Utilization in the FFK department:
- Clinical Chemistry Laboratory can serve the examination of blood biochemical parameters such as levels of glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, urea, creatinine, uric acid etc.
- Pharmacology Laboratory can serve pharmacological activity testing and toxicity testing
Utilization of Laboratories in the Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medicinal Chemistryย : The AFKM laboratory together with the FTF laboratory periodically tests samples from PT Telkom in the form of dissolution testing and analysis of the levels of substances in the preparation (the types of samples tested in 2015 are in accordance with the sample list in the FTF Department). In addition to testing samples from PT Telkom, the laboratories in the AFKM Department also regularly together with the Center for Research and Community Service (P3M) receive samples from Trans TV, the Bandung and Tasikmalaya Police, as well as sample analysis from other universities such as the Bandung College of Pharmacy.
The laboratories in the AFKM Department are jointly developing indicator strips for the examination of hazardous substances in food, herbal and cosmetic products.
Laboratory Utilization in the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology:
Since 2006, he has contributed the results of standardized research on extracts in the manufacture of Indonesian herbal Pharmacophytes, Herbal Supplements includes:
- Standardization of Sintok bark extract
- Standardization of betel nut extract
- Standardization of Imperata root extract
- Standardization of bengle rhizome extract
- Standardization of temu lawak rhizome extract
- Standardization of ginger rhizome extract
- Standardization of garlic tuber extract
Testing the potential for antibiotic samples from PT Telkom The laboratories in the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology can serve:
- extract making
- examination of the simplicia and extract standardization parameters The Laboratory Association in the Department of Pharmaceutical Biology is developing a raw material for traditional medicine in the form of standardized extracts from rosella flowers.
