Visit of UniKL RCMP Delegation for the Visiting Researcher Program

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran, welcomed a delegation from the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) for a five-day Visiting Researcher Program held on 24–28 November 2025. The delegation, consisting of academic staff from UniKL RCMP, participated in a series of scientific activities and collaborative discussions with lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy Unpad.
The program commenced with an official welcoming session, followed by a presentation on UniKL RCMP’s institutional profile and a tour of Unpad’s laboratory facilities. On the second day, the delegation reviewed the curriculum of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program and visited RSPTN Unpad to observe the implementation of clinical pharmacy practice, including medication review processes and the hospital information system.
The third day featured scientific sharing sessions. Dr. Muhammad Zaki Ramli delivered a lecture on the potential cognitive benefits of probiotics derived from fermented foods for postgraduate students, followed by a presentation from Dr. Norain Ab. Latif on non-pharmacological approaches to preventing bone cancer metastasis for undergraduate students. The academic sessions were followed by discussions exploring collaboration opportunities, including student exchanges, joint research initiatives, health technology development, and educational programs held in Antapani Medika Pharmacy, Bandung.
On the fourth day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zaswiza Mohamad Noor delivered a guest lecture on the pathophysiology and pharmacotherapy of anemia. This was followed by a session led by Madam Siti Normiyah Hussin on pharmacotherapy related to the adrenal axis, thyroid gland, and the gut–brain–endocrine system. The delegation then continued with research discussions focused on clinical studies, cancer, and neuroscience.
The program concluded with an industrial visit to PT. Triman and a meeting with the Universitas Padjadjaran Office of International Affairs. A closing session with the leadership of the Faculty of Pharmacy affirmed the commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic collaboration and advancing joint research initiatives.
