
Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Three International Events to Strengthen Academic and Research Synergy
Bandung, August 27, 2025 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), today held three significant events involving international academics and researchers. These activities aim to broaden scientific insights, foster research collaboration, and explore future partnership opportunities.
Distinguished Guest Lectures
- “Pharmacogenetic as a Tool for Personalized Medicine”
Dr. Zalina Binti Zahari from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza), Malaysia, delivered a guest lecture titled “Pharmacogenetic as a Tool for Personalized Medicine.” Attended by Master of Pharmacy and Master of Clinical Pharmacy students, the lecture highlighted the role of pharmacogenetics in advancing more personalized and effective treatments. An interactive discussion with students reflected strong enthusiasm for this topic, which is highly relevant to current developments in healthcare. - “Innovative Development of Theranostic Radiopharmaceutical”
Dr. Ming-Rong Zang from the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST), Japan, presented a lecture on “Innovative Development of Theranostic Radiopharmaceutical.” The session was attended by students from various levels, including the International Undergraduate Program (IUP), Master’s, Doctoral, and Nuclear Pharmacy Specialist programs. This lecture emphasized the latest innovations in developing theranostic radiopharmaceuticals, a field that integrates therapy and diagnostics for more precise disease management.
Visit and Collaboration Discussion
The Faculty of Pharmacy Unpad also welcomed representatives from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Prof. Haliza Katas and Dr. Ernieda Md Hatah. They were warmly received by the Faculty’s leadership team, including Prof. Auliya Suwantika (Vice Dean I), Prof. Ida Musfiroh (Head of the Apothecary Professional Program), and Dr. Sandra Megantara (Learning Manager).
During the meeting, both parties discussed potential collaborations across academic and non-academic areas. The talks covered opportunities for joint research, student and faculty exchanges, as well as organizing seminars or conferences together. This visit is expected to serve as a strong foundation for building a productive and mutually beneficial partnership between the Faculty of Pharmacy, UKM and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Unpad.
