Students of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran on initiating a community service “Pharmacy Care on Preventing The Spread of COVID-19
Not only reducing public health and causing major deaths, the pandemic of COVID-19 existence also has an impact on disrupting the economic cycle of the community.
LSSR (Large scale-social restriction) policy to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus has caused many people to lose their jobs and unable to fulfill their daily needs.
In order to contribute in helping the society who have lost their income and enthusiasm for sharing in the holy month of Ramadhan, Students of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program (PSPA), Faculty of Pharmacy, Padjadjaran University handed over 141 packages of basic necessities and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Covid-19 Task Force in Hegarmanah Village on Sunday 26 April at 20.30 WIB. This activity is a form of Community Service which is part of the Covid-19 Pharmacy Care at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Padjadjaran University, which began with fundraising so that the total amount of IDR 5,550,600 was collected, as well as a number of other donations.
The food packages were handed over to affected residents through the heads of RT and RW in Hegarmanah village who were also coordinated by the Hegarmanah Village Covid-19 Task Force. This basic food package contains basic needs such as rice, cooking oil, canned food, biscuits as well as soap and toothpaste for family needs. In addition, leaflets for information and education on the prevention of Covid-19 were also handed out, as well as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of 564 pieces of cloth masks and 141 bottles of hand sanitizer
In addition, the Community Service initiated by the Students of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program Team of the Faculty of Pharmacy UNPAD provided education and information related to understanding the prevention of Covid-19 at the village office to the Hegarmanah Village Covid-19 Task Force which consisted of village officials, Pancasila Youth Organization of Hegarmanah Branch, Wanapala Nature Lovers, Youth Organizations and Linmas. which is admittedly still lacking information about Covid-19. This activity is a form of concern of the PSPA Faculty of Pharmacy UNPAD so that it provides benefits for the health and welfare of the community during the Covid-19 pandemic.
