Syllabus |
This course explains the scope, the basics of qualitative analysis (physical and chemical methods) and the basics of separation, identification of anion cations, identification of inorganic salts, analysis of drug class alcohols, phenols, carboxylic acids, nitrogen compounds, antihistamines, sulfonamides, barbiturates, antibiotics, Compendial method for qualitative testing, Determination of moisture content by Karl Fischer, gravimetry, Purity test: melting point, heavy metal limit test, Size separation methods: filtration, dialysis; density: centrifugation, separation method based on physical state changes: distillation, sublimation, recrystallization; partition: ECC, Principles of simple chromatography: thin layers and paper, Principles of simple chromatography: columns and densitometry. |
