After completing this course, students are expected to be able to:

1. Explaining the basic concepts of Pharmacology correctly (Bloom Taxonomy Cognitive Domain-C2);
2. Explaining the action of drugs on the autonomic nervous system, the action of autacoid drugs, the action of drugs on the central nervous system, the action of drugs on the heart and blood vessels, the work of anti-inflammatory drugs and hormones correctly (Bloom Taxonomy Cognitive Domain-C2);
3. Explain the concept of Toxicology, Toxic work and management of poisoning and toxicity testing correctly (Bloom Taxonomy Cognitive Domain-C2);

Syllabus

This course discusses the basic concepts of Pharmacology including the basics of drug travel in the body, drug action sites, drug action on the autonomic nervous system, autacoid drug action, central nervous system drug action, drug action on the heart and spinal cord. blood vessels, Action of Anti-inflammatory Drugs and Hormones, Introduction Toxicology, Toxic action and management of poisoning and toxicity testing.
