After completing this course, students should be able to:

1. Understand, explain and apply the use of basic tools in the chemistry laboratory and apply good working practices in the laboratory moratorium (GLP)
2. Understand and identify functional groups
3. Understand the concept of alkyl halide synthesis reactions and perform iodoform synthesis and identification according to procedures
4. Understand the concept of nucleophilic substitution reactions and perform acetanilide synthesis and identification according to procedures
5. Understand the concept of reactions esterification and synthesis of acetylsalicylic acid and methyl benzoate and identify them according to the procedure
