Herbal Education for Hypertension Management: Pusdi Herbal Introduces Rovela-TD

The Herbal Research Center (Pusdi Herbal) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran, held a herbal education session for hypertensive patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) at the Unpad Clinic, Jatinangor, on 27 November 2025. The session was attended by 35 participants from the surrounding community and Unpad staff, featuring Prof. Dr. apt. Yasmiwar Susilawati, M.Si., as the main speaker.
The event was opened by Prof. apt. Ivan Surya Pradipta, M.Sc., Manager for Research and Innovation at the Faculty of Pharmacy Unpad, who emphasized the importance of translating research outcomes into practical health applications. During the session, the team introduced Rovela-TD, a herbal product developed by Prof. Yasmiwar and the Pusdi Herbal research team as a complementary therapy for hypertension.
Participants showed strong enthusiasm throughout the session, demonstrated by their engagement, attentiveness, and the number of questions raised. Several attendees also expressed interest in receiving further education on herbal therapy and general pharmaceutical health information.
The Head of the Unpad Clinic, dr. Yan Yan Yasirulhaq, stated that educational initiatives such as this will continue to be supported as part of efforts to enhance services for Prolanis patients. He hopes similar programs can be conducted regularly to provide patients with a comprehensive scientific understanding of chronic disease management.
Through this activity, the Pusdi Herbal of the Faculty of Pharmacy Unpad reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the implementation of herbal research in community health services. The program is expected to serve as a starting point for broader utilization of the faculty’s research innovations within clinical and community settings.
