Syllabus |
In this topic students will understand and practice good laboratory practice, media manufacture and sterilization techniques, bacterial isolation, and cultivation techniques, hanging drop technique, simple staining, Gram, acid-resistant spores, negatives and capsules, biochemical identification of bacteria and microscopic observation of fungi (moist chamber), examination of microbial contamination, testing of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, determination of KHTM and microdilution (macrodilution and microdilution), determination of phenol coefficient, determination of preservative activity and determination of antibiotic potency. |
