One of the places used to prepare high-quality human resources is Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). To develop human resources at the bachelor’s level, Indonesian HEIs typically require 5 years, and even then, the produced human resources may not be sufficient for excellence. Therefore, there is a need to prepare human resources at the master’s or doctoral level. Given the current state of Indonesian HEIs not reaching world-class status, these institutions play a significant role in enhancing human resource development and national competitiveness. To ensure the effectiveness of this strategic role, it is crucial to have high-quality faculty members. Planning for excellent faculty requires focused and well-structured planning.
In light of this background, there is a need for an outstanding program aimed at preparing high-quality human resources in a shorter time frame. This improvement can be achieved through a fast-track program (integrated bachelor’s + master’s) that can be completed in 5 years. The accelerated study program involves completing the Bachelor’s Program (S1) followed by the Master’s Program (S2) within 5 years (S1 3.5-4 years + S2 1-1.5 years). With this program, students will save one year of S2 education and reduce S2 education costs by approximately 50%.

Master to Doctorate

- Faculty discusses the Fast Track Program at the Faculty of Pharmacy’s Postgraduate Monitoring Committee (KPPS).
- Minutes of the KPPS meeting on the Fast Track program are discussed at the Faculty Senate meeting.
- The Faculty Senate’s approved results are then submitted to the rector through the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs.
- The Fast Track Program is conducted within a maximum of 10 semesters (5 academic years) for bachelor to master. Before students graduate from the bachelor program, they are registered as bachelor students; after graduation, their status is changed to master students.
- For Fast Track Master-Doctorate, master’s students only attend the master’s program for 2 semesters without having to graduate, then proceed to the doctoral program according to the regulations set by each program. Students must complete the master’s program before completing the doctoral program, as stipulated by each program. The program is conducted within a maximum of 12 semesters (6 academic years) for master to doctorate. Students who have not graduated within 7 years are considered to have withdrawn. Similar to the bachelor to master program, students’ status changes from master students to doctoral students upon graduation.
