Meanwhile, the Head of Pharmacy Masters Study Program, Dr. apt. Aliya Nur Hasanah, M.Si, explained that the Masters by Research program in the pharmaceutical sector does not yet exist in Indonesia.
“The core concept of the curriculum is still the same as by course, because it is in the same study program, but above 70% of the SKS that students must fulfill in order to pass this program is related to research, one of which is the publication of scientific articles that reach 10 credits,” said Aliya.
According to him, prospective students by research can choose courses using the Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) method.
“It is not easy to enter S2 by research because there is a CBT exam related to science and for practitioners who are currently working or already working, it is prioritized but it does not rule out the possibility for fresh graduates who do have the ability in research,” She continued.
In addition, there are also differences in the requirements for graduation.
“The requirements for graduation are different, if the by course is sufficient in a national journal with a minimum of 3 accredited Sinta, while by research must be an international journal indexed by Scopus.” She explained.
Aliya added that apart from the S2 by research, the Faculty of Pharmacy also continues to open the previous program, namely S3 by research which has graduated several students since it was opened in 2016.
