As well as the marketing team of PT. Sucofindo SBU Cibitung Laboratory.
This workshop was held in a hybrid manner, three days online through zoom meetings, and two days offline in the cendrawasih room of the Sucofindo Chemistry Lab, Cibitung No.1 Toll Road Artery, Sukadanau, Cibitung, Gandasari, Kec. Cikarang Bar., Bekasi, West Java.
In addition, this workshop is one of the modular courses related to the Drug Stability course which can be accessed through the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) E-Learning Pharmacy Unpad at https://farmasi.unpad.ac.id/elearning/courses/pelatihan-uji-stabilitas-produk-farmasi/
The central theme of the workshop was competency improvement in the field of drug stability testing, water penetration testing for cosmetic preparations, and stability testing for household health supplies preparations. The workshop was divided into three online sessions of basic knowledge about drug preparations, cosmetics and PKRT, then 3 sessions of knowledge of the testing methods of each preparation, and 2 direct offline practice sessions.
Every day a pretest and posttest was carried out through the MOOC E-Learning Pharmacy UNPAD to measure understanding while the material was given, and on the third day, an evaluation of the workshop was conducted to get feedback from workshop participants. The results of the pretest and posttest showed an increase in the knowledge of participants who were previously unfamiliar with pharmaceutical preparations, to understand the principles and concepts of preformulation, formulation and evaluation of pharmaceutical preparations. Feedback from users shows that the material presented is very helpful for participants in understanding the materials, the properties of the materials and their relation to the tests that have been done in the lab.
Online 18-20 January 2021
The first day of the workshop went well. In his remarks, Mr. Fitry Muhamady as the head of quality assurance, risk management & references conveyed the background of the needs of Sucofindo laboratory staff for stability testing of pharmaceutical preparations and halal cosmetics and Household Health Supplies. This was welcomed by the Head of the Study Center, Bpk. Iyan Sopyan to establish cooperation between PT. Sucofindo and the Faculty of Pharmacy Unpad in increasing competence through a series of thematic workshops.
The material was delivered systematically and in a complete manner by Unpad pharmacy lecturer staff and practitioner lecturers so that participants had additional insights needed in future testing guided by a moderator so that the workshop could run efficiently and productively. Discussion of participants and presenters showed the enthusiasm of the participants to find out more details and be more practical, so that the limited time caused the discussion to be continued in the WhatsApp group every time.
The second and third days also went well. At the closing remarks for the online workshop session, it was revealed that there is still a need for in-depth and practice needed by workshop participants. However, the limitations of the online system did not appear to be a significant obstacle for the participants.
Offline 21-22 January 2021
The fourth and fifth days which were carried out offline were very much awaited by the participants, because they could directly ask questions, discuss, and see first hand the demonstration and simulation of several tests that had been prepared by the three presenters. Enthusiasm was shown by the participants through long and detailed discussions.
The implementation of this offline workshop pays close attention to health protocols, which are marked by the obligation of all presenters and participants to attach negative antigen rapid test results, and statement forms related to Covid. Do not forget that the mask must always be installed correctly, not crowding, using hand sanitizer provided and some people complete their PPE with a face shield.
Closure, a series of workshop activities on the fifth day, Mr. Oliver L P Sianturi as Chemistry Senior Manager expressed his gratitude and hopes for the sustainability of the workshop which emphasizes practice after the pandemic ends so that they can do it directly at their respective practice desks. In his final remarks, the Head of the Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology Department, Mr. Sriwidodo, who was also present at this offline activity, expressed his gratitude for the collaboration that has been established and is willing to follow up on the deepening of practice in the upcoming workshop activities, by not forgetting to apologize if the user still cannot satisfy the initial theme. Hopefully, it will be better in the future.
