The 2nd ISPST is a continuation of the first International Seminar on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (ISPST) which had been held in 2014. This seminar will give the latest findings in the area related to pharmaceutical sciences and technology. In addition, poster discussion will talk about current research trends and new research collaborations. ISPST is a forum for students, researchers , educators , observers and practitioners from university, research institutions, industry and general public to exchange ideas and latest information in the field of Pharmaceutical Science, Technology and Engineering.
The 2nd International Seminar on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology 2016 will include two days of scientific session and exhibition on November 24th-25th. The scientific session is organized by Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Padjadjaran. The theme of this 2nd ISPST is “Advances Material Design, Process and Technology for Improving Pharmaceutical Products Quality”.

Dr. Ir. Penny Kusumastuti Lukito, MCP is a Head Of National Agency Of Drug And Food Control (NADFC) Republic of Indonesia start from 2016. She was born at Jakarta on November 9th 1963. She was gained her Ph.D on Environmental Technique and Minor in Urban and Regional Planning at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin, USA, on June 2000. She was received her master degree in City Planning (MCP) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Roland Bodmeier is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the College of Pharmacy at the Freie Universität Berlin in Germany.
He studied Pharmacy at the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, Germany, (1977-1982) received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Texas at Austin (1986) and a Dr. rer. nat. habil from the University of Regensburg (1993). He served as an Assistant/ tenured Associate Professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin (1986-1994) before he moved to his current position. He was a visiting professor at the Upjohn Company (1991) and at the University Henri Poincare in Nancy, France (1994, 1996). His research focuses on innovative drug delivery systems with controlled drug release (peroral systems, biodegradable implants/microparticles, microencapsulation, multiparticulate dosage forms) and has resulted in more than 170 publications, book chapters and patents/-applications.
Yasushi Arano, Ph.D is a Professor in Department of Moleculer Imaging and Radiotherapy, Chiba University, Chiba, Japan.
He received M.S and Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kyoto University, 1973-1977. He had work experience as Associate Professor in Kyoto University, 1996-1999; as a Research Associate/Assistant Professor in Kyoto University, 1982-1996, Research Fellow in Harvard Medical School, 1988-1989. He has over 100 publications from Scopus. He has expertise and research interest in Radiochemistry, Radiopharmaceuticals, and Molecular Imaging.
Prof. Habibah A Wahab (School of Pharmaceutical Science, University Sains Malaysia).
A graduate in BSc in Science and Practice of Pharmacy from Liverpool John Moore University, Habibah A Wahab obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from King’s College London, University of London in 1999. In 1999, Habibah joined Universiti Sains Malaysia, as a lecturer at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences where she found a research group “Pharmaceutical Design and Simulation (PhD)” which focuses on research on drug discovery especially those utilizing structural bioinformatics and computer aided drug design approaches. In 2010 Habibah was promoted as a full professor in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
He is a Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung, and he has gained his PhD degree from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom. His discipline is Pharmaceutical Technology, while his research interest are Natural products having urolithic activity; standardisation of herbs; pharmacognosy; prodrugs synthesis and evaluation.
Kunikazu Moribe, Ph.D is a Professor in Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University, Japan.
He is a Head of Department of Pharmaceutical technology at Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University. He has over 50 publications from Scopus. He has research interest in Drug Nano-particles formulation.
Dr. Abdul Rohman M.Si., Apt is a professor in Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
He received Doctor from Halal Products Research Institute, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia, July 2008 – December 2010. He has work experience as Head of Testing, Calibration, and Product Certification, January 2011-Present, LPPT UGM and Supervisor for Chemical Testing, January 2005-June 2008, LPPT UGM. He has over 50 peer reviewed articles and is also an editor for some journals (Journal of Food and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy, and American Journal of Food Technology). He has research interest in Analysis of Halal Product, Analytical Chemistry, and Antioxidant.
Prof. Bambang Kuswandi, Ph.D in Inst. & Analytical Sc. Head of Chemo & Biosensors Group, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Jember, and also as Visiting Professor at IchemTech Faculty of Science & Technology, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, current research interest: Chemical sensor & biosensor for applications in environmental, foods, pharmacy, clinical & health. Smart materials, Nanotechnology, Lab on a-chip & microfluidics devices. Development of autonomous & wireless sensing devices & wearable sensing system. Halal science & technology.
Dr. M. Rahman Roestan, S.Si, Apt., MBA is Corporate Secretary PT. Bio Farma Indonesia.
He studied pharmacy at Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia, as well as he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia. He was invited to be one of the speakers at the session of the Smart Health “Health Smart Asia-Africa Summit 2015”. This event is one of a series of 60th anniversary of the Asia-Africa Conference. He has interested in innovative measures and the implementation of smart health in the company starting from the production stage vaccine to step in educating consumers. He is also as speaker on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Health Minister Conference, Istanbul, 2015.
She is an Associate Professor at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her Ph.D degree has been obtained from University of Auckland in Chemicals and Materials Engineering. She has research interest and major publication about Nanomaterials, Nanobiotechnology, Biosensors, and Sensors. The awards that she has achieved among which L`oreal Women in Science at 2011, L`oreal Malaysia.
He is an Assistant Professor at Nanobiopharmaceutics Lab, Chung-Ang University, College of Pharmacy, Seoul, Korea from 2008 until now. He was received his Ph.D. from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, USA (2006). His research focuses on preformulation, formulation and preclinical study for new medicine candidates and incrementally modified drugs; development of synthetic drug, imaging agnet, and gene delivery targeting strategies for cancer therapy; development of nansized carriers for small and macromolecules using polymers ; and deveopment of polymeric formulations for anticancer drugs and proteins with triggering release mechanisms.
He is a head of Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran. He has gained his PhD degree from Department of Pharmacy/Clinical Pharmacology, Gunma University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan (2009-2013). His works now is relating to formulation development of pharmaceutical ingredients, medicinal herbs extracts and bioactive compounds with poor bioavailability, and study of some genetic factors associated with warfarin dosing adjustment in Indonesian population.
She is a head of Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Padjadjaran. She has gained her doctoral degree from School of Pharmacy, Pharmacochemistry Research Group, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bandung (2015). She has also finished her sandwich program during doctoral degree at School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Queens University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom (2014). She already published 2 books concerning sample preparation and analytical methods. Her works now is relating to development of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for separations and/or recognition of chemical synthetic and natural compounds from biological fluid and/or pharmaceuticals.
