4 Academic Staffs from Faculty of Pharmacy UNPAD Attended 10th Asian Conference on Clinical Pharmacy in Singapura

Dalam rangka meningkatkan publikasi penelitian di forum internasional, Fakultas Farmasi Unpad memberangkatkan 4 dosennya untuk mengikuti forum ACCP ke 10 di Singapura, pada tanggal 9-12 Juli 2010. ACCP merupakan pertemuan rutin yang diselenggarakan oleh forum farmasi klinik Asia Pasifik. Forum  bergengsi tersebut dihadiri oleh peserta dari berbagai negara-negara di Asia Pasifik. Fakultas farmasi Unpad sendiri mengirimkan 4 dosennya untuk melakukan publikasi penelitiannya. Penelitian yang dipresentasikan dalam forum tersebut antara lain :

  1. Drug related problems: Antihypertensive drugs in the patient’s chronic renal failure received haemodialysis therapy in ward of one of hospital in Bandung 2009, yang dipresentasikan oleh Prof. Dr. Anas Subarnas, M.Sc., Apt
  2. Anticancer activities of substance  isolated from the leaves of Schima  wallichii in MCF-7 human breast cancer cell lines, yang dipresentasikan oleh Dr. Adjeng Diantini, MS.,Apt
  3. The development of Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) seeds extract as a natural dual PPARα/γ agonist. The new potential herbal antidiabetic medicine for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, yang dipresentasikan oleh Keri Lestari, M.Si., Apt
  4. Reduced serum selenium concentration related to spontaneous abortion incidence in Indonesian subjects, yang dipresentasikan oleh Rizky Abdulah, PhD., Apt

Hadir sebagai pembicara tamu dalam forum tersebut adalah Joseph T Dipiro yang merupakan editor dan penulis buku terkenal Pharmacotherapy and Patophysiological Approach. Dipiro mengungkapakn bahwa di Amerika Serikat sekitar  98% lulusan farmasi diserap di sektor pelayanan kefarmasian sedangkan sisanya diserap di sektor industri dan akademik, untuk itu diharapkan dunia pendidikan tinggi farmasi mampu merespons fenomena tersebut melalui penyiapan kurikulum yang tepat agar lulusannya dapat berkiprah dengan baik di setiap sektornya.

Forum ACCP ke 11 direncanakan diselenggarakan di Filipina pada tahun 2011. Mengingat pentingnya forum tersebut, Kelompok Bidang Ilmu Farmakologi dan Farmasi Klinik, Fakultas Farmasi, Unpad akan mempersiapkan publikasi penelitian untuk mengikuti forum ACCP ke 11 tersebut.(isp)In order to improve research publications in international forums, Faculty of Pharmacy, Padjadjaran University facilitated 4 academic staffs to attend the 10th ACCP forum in Singapore on July 9 -12, 2010. ACCP is a regular meeting organized by the Asia Pacific clinical pharmacy forum. The forum was attended by participants from various countries in Asia Pacific. Research publications presented at ACCP forum:

Joseph T Dipiro, who is a well-known editor and author of Pharmacotherapy and Patophysiological Approach, was present as the guest speaker at the forum.  Dipiro said  that in the United States approximately 98% of pharmacy graduates are practicing  in the pharmacy service sectors  while the others are in industrial and academic sectors. The Pharmacy higher education was expected to be able to respond the phenomenon and prepare appropriate curriculum so that pharmacy graduates can take part in every sector properly .

The 11th ACCP forum was planned to be held in the Philippines in 2011. Considering the importance of the forum, Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy Division, Faculty of Pharmacy Universitas Padjadjaran will prepare research publications to participate the next forum. (ISP)
